Emerging Thoughts: Women’s Leadership and Conscious Business

Yesterday afternoon, I attended a three-hour networking forum hosted by the Chicago Chapter of Conscious Capitalism and Tiara International LLC, a global company focused on providing women’s leadership development. I was very grateful for the opportunity to step away from my desk and hear from women and men whose values and leadership practices seem to echo my own. We Need Leaders Wise to the Bending of King’s Arc

Here in the U.S., we begin every new year in part focused on the civil rights activist Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., celebrating a national holiday to honor his legacy on January 20. King, who was assassinated in 1968, was a stirring speaker, and many lines from his eloquent, passionate speeches are lifted up once again during ceremonies held in his honor. A favorite line of mine, often used by King, is the one quoted above: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.” Continue reading

Evolution Enters Its Conscious Phase – In Us!

I remember the day back in the mid-1990’s when I first began to imagine the implications of Thomas Berry’s notion that our Universe, from its beginning, has experienced both physical and psychic evolution.
