Addictive Organizations

Between what happens to us and our response is a space.
In that space lies our freedom to choose our response.

Whether we recognized it or not, many of us have experienced working in addictive organizations. They are organizations in which the culture in many ways mirrors the unhealthy behaviors of the addict, and they can become so toxic that people working within them are under constant stress. Signs of an additive organization include the inability of persons within them to confront reality, to maintain healthy boundaries, and to create emotional stability.
